Prevent the “spoofing” of your Web site.
Your customers or members can be directed to
a spoofed Web site through phishing or
pharming techniques. Once at the spoofed Web
site, your customers or members are enticed
to enter information such as the Internet
banking username and password, credit card
information, or other information that could
enable a criminal to use this information to
commit fraud or identity theft.
We provide a tool for your Web site that
verifies to your customers or members that
your Web site is not “spoofed”. This will
make certain to your customers or members
that your site is genuine and not a
fraudulent copy. |
|
How It Works
We provide you with a script that your Web site
manager simply adds to your Web site html code.
The script works with any Web browser that is
showing your Web site home page, i.e. Microsoft
Internet Explorer, Netscape, Foxfire, Opera,
etc.
We also provide you with a link and button to
add to the design of your site. You can also
customize your own button or we can help you
with that. The button explains that your site is
genuine and not a spoofed copy. When your
customers click the button, the script verifies
this by showing the actual URL (your web site
domain) and the address shown in the address
window. If these do not match, than there could
be a problem and your members or customers would
instantly be informed.

Benefits:
Spoofing exposes your bank or credit union to
strategic, operational and reputation risks;
jeopardizing the privacy of your customers or
members; and exposing them to financial fraud.
The eFraud Prevention™ Anti-Spoof Tool is a
proven method to inform your members or
customers before they become a victim. |
